another sign memory: tracy and i were hungover and the first thing we did that day was walk to the sign so i could take a photo and i vastly overestimated the distance (this was pre-phone) and it got hot and we were hungry and thirsty and it was the first time i realized the best way to keep someone from focusing on their gripes was to have them talk about things they loved and then feed them mcdonald’s
